The Phoenix Suns (29-26) look to extend their winning streak to three games when they visit the Brooklyn Nets (32-21) at 7:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

The Suns have momentum stemming from a 116-100 win over the Detroit Pistons that saw Deandre Ayton lead the charge with a 31-point, 16-rebound double-double. Meanwhile, the Nets were in action less than 24 hours ago, suffering a 124-116 loss to the LA Clippers.

Can the Suns continue finding success on their road trip? Or will the Nets figure out a way to rebound from last night's defeat?

Nets vs. Suns Betting Trends

  • The Suns went 44-38-0 ATS last season.
  • The Nets went 6-6 as underdogs of 4.5 points or more last year.
  • Suns games hit the over 41 out of 82 times last season.
  • In 82 Nets games last year, 41 of them hit the over.

Nets vs. Suns Prediction & Pick

While the Nets kept things close (for the most part) against the Clippers, it's still tough trusting Brooklyn's depleted roster. Kevin Durant (knee) and Seth Curry (hip) are already ruled out while there's no telling if the newly acquired Dorian Finney-Smith and Spencer Dinwiddie will play. Even if the duo suits up, they just had to travel from Dallas and will be playing in a new system.

Meanwhile, the Suns are playing great basketball, going 8-2 in their last 10 games. Their defense is a big factor behind this success, holding opponents to a 107.5 PPG clip and 100 or fewer points in four of the last seven outings.

Even more impressive is the fact that the Suns have won their last three road games by an average margin of 12.7 points. That solid play will help Phoenix against a Brooklyn team that's gone 3-4 in its last seven home games while allowing at least 123 points in three of the last four games at Barclays Center.

With rest also being on their side, look for the Suns to win tonight.

Final Score Prediction: Suns: 115 | Nets: 109

Nets vs. Suns Best Bet

I'm looking at the projected total for tonight's best bet — specifically the under. After all, the Suns have one of the best defenses in the NBA and the Nets' lineup is either banged up or tired from last night's loss. The combination is a recipe for a low-scoring contest.

On top of that, the under is 8-2 in the last 10 Nets-Suns matchups at Barclays Center. Considering how the average total of those games is only 213.1 points, I'm even more confident that there'll be fewer than 225 points on the scoreboard tonight.

Bet: Under 225 Points (-110)
