The 2022-23 NBA season has eight games planned for Saturday, Nov. 12, including an inter-conference battle between the Brooklyn Nets and LA Clippers. Despite a slow start to the year, the Nets have now won three of their last four games, including a 112-85 win over the New York Knicks in their last outing.

Meanwhile, the Clippers have also been heating up, going 5-1 straight up in their last six games. Their latest victory was a 114-101 effort against the rival Los Angeles Lakers, highlighted by Paul George racking up 29 points on 10-of-17 shooting in 36 minutes of action.

Nets vs Clippers Prediction & Pick

The Nets' season looked lost at one point, but they've since turned things around over the last four games. Unsurprisingly, Kevin Durant has been the driving force behind this turnaround, averaging 27.5 points with 8.3 rebounds and 7.3 assists over that stretch.

The good news for the Clippers is that they have Paul George to counter Durant. The seven-time NBA All-Star is averaging 30.7 points over his last six outings, shooting an impressive 42.9% from three-point range.

While George has done great on his own, the Clippers' recent success can also be attributed to their deep roster. LA's bench averages 46.3 PPG (No. 9), while Brooklyn's bench players average just 28.6 PPG (No. 27). In other words, the Nets are essentially screwed if Durant doesn't have a huge game.

With the Clippers having the overall better roster here, I'm backing them to win in a close game.

Final Score Prediction: Clippers: 106 | Nets: 103

Nets vs Clippers Best Bet

Bettors should gear up for a low-scoring game this afternoon. Not only do both teams rank in the bottom half of league scoring, but the Clippers also average the fewest points per game. On top of that, both sides rank inside of the top 10 when it comes to scoring defense.

With the total going under in each of the Nets' last six games, along with six of the Clippers' last serve, take the under on the 213-point total.

Bet: Under 213 Points (-110)
