The Chicago Bulls (26-28) aim to add to the Brooklyn Nets' (32-22) recent woes when the two teams collide at Barclays Center on Thursday, Feb. 9.

The Bulls are hungry after a 104-89 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies ended their winning streak at three games. Meanwhile, the Nets have lost three of their last six games, most recently falling 116-112 to the Phoenix Suns two nights ago.

Can the Bulls inch closer to the .500 mark with a victory? Or will the Nets prove that they can get the job done now that the Kevin Durant/Kyrie Irving era is in the rearview?

Nets vs. Bulls Betting Trends

  • The Nets put together a 32-46-4 record against the spread last season.
  • The Bulls went 5-14 as underdogs of 3.5 points or greater last season.
  • Nets games hit the over 41 out of 82 times last season.
  • The Bulls had 40 of their 82 games go over the point total last year.

Nets vs. Bulls Prediction & Pick

Although the Bulls have had more success as of late, it's worth noting that those wins came at home. They have found much recent success away from United Center, going 2-5 while being held to fewer than 100 points in four of those games. Even worse is the fact that Chicago's only wins during that time came against the Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons — two of the NBA's worst teams.

While the Nets aren't perfect, they're at least averaging a respectable 117 points over their last three games. It certainly helps that Cam Thomas has rattled off 43-plus points in each of those contests. With Spencer Dinwiddie and Dorian Finney-Smith likely making their Brooklyn debuts, the Nets will have even more firepower to outgun the lethargic Bulls.

Looking to prove that they'll be just fine without Durant and Irving, expect the Nets to emerge victorious in a close-fought tilt.

Final Score Prediction: Nets: 114 | Bulls: 108

Nets vs. Bulls Best Bet

There's a good chance that this game ends with fewer points on the board than projected. After all, the under is 8-1 in the last nine Nets-Bulls matchups. The two sides only combined for an average of 219.8 points in those contests, finishing with fewer than 226.5 in all but two games.

With the under being 8-2 in the Bull's last 10 games and the Nets still getting adjusted to their new look, I'm erring on the side of caution by backing the total to finish under 226.5 points.

Bet: Under 226.5 Points (-110)
