The 2023 men's Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas is here. The three-day, 12-game tournament tips off on Wednesday with teams fighting it out to reach the finals on Friday. The first game is between the top-seeded No. 3 Kansas Jayhawks and the NC State Wolfpack. Both teams are a perfect 4-0 so far in this young college basketball season.
NC State vs Kansas Odds & Spread
All NCAA college basketball betting lines, odds and prop bets.
Moneyline: NCST: (+290) | KU: (-375)
Spread: NCST: +8.5 (-112) | KU: -8.5 (-108)
Total: 153.5 — Over: (-106) | Under: (-114)
Those matching records don't do much to have Vegas project this as a close matchup. The spread hasn't quite hit double-digit points, but with KU favored by 8.5 points and sitting at -375 on the moneyline, it's not exactly expected to be a nail-biter. The over/under of 153.5 total points does suggest we could be in for a high-scoring game though.
NC State vs Kansas Prediction & Pick
As mentioned above, it's not all that significant that these teams share the same perfect record. NC State has only had to defeat Austin Peay, Campbell, FIU and Elon so far, and Campbell (73-67) and Elon (74-63) both put up real games.
The Jayhawks had some easy wins too, but they also edged out No. 8 Duke 69-64 last week, and early signs are that this Kansas team is for real.
The Wolfpack should be in for a rude awakening in their first real test of the season, and I expect Kansas to get up big early and hold that lead the rest of the way.
Final Score Prediction: NC State: 72 | Kansas: 83

NC State vs Kansas Best Bet
NC State may eventually get comfortable and play some competitive ball against Kansas, but I'm expecting that to take some time. The huge leap in competition will catch them off guard, while a Kansas team that beat Duke should be in fine form right from the tip.
The second half of this game might even be somewhat close and competitive, but it's the first half that should really separate the two.
Bet: Kansas -4.5 1st Half Spread (-110)
