The 2022-23 NBA season rolls on in early December. The primetime action continues on Wednesday with a pair of NBA on ESPN matchups, as the Atlanta Hawks face the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics travel to face the Phoenix Suns.

Here's everything you need to know about tonight's national TV games.

NBA Games on TV Tonight

The two national TV games for Wednesday, Dec. 7 are the Hawks vs Knicks and Celtics vs Suns. Both will air on ESPN. Atlanta and New York tip things off at 7:30 p.m. ET. Boston and Phoenix will close the doubleheader at 10 p.m. ET. 

The Hawks are currently trying to navigate trade rumors and in-team drama affecting morale. Atlanta's gone 2-4 over its last six, including a 121-114 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in its last time out. New York is also 2-4 in its six previous games, but won 92-81 over the Cleveland Cavaliers in its most recent game.

The East-leading Celtics, meanwhile, will look to stay hot against the Suns. Phoenix is expected to get a huge reinforcement back in this one, as Chris Paul returns to the lineup following a one-month absence.

NBA Refs Tonight

The three officials assigned to work Wednesday's matchup between the Hawks and Knicks are David Guthrie (#16, crew chief), Brian Forte (#45, referee), and Andy Nagy (#83, umpire).

The crew officiating Celtics vs Suns will be Tony Brothers (#5, crew chief), Brent Barnaky (#23, referee), and John Butler (#30, umpire).

Sean Corbin, Scott Wall, Lauren Holtkamp, Aaron Smith and Nate Green, meanwhile, are serving in the Secaucus-based Replay Center for tonight's games.
