Landwehr vs Lingo Prediction

After a disappointing 1-2 start to his UFC tenure, Nate Landwehr has bounced back with two straight wins. He picked up an impressive submission victory over Ludovit Klein at UFC Vegas 40 before tallying a majority decision win against David Onama in his latest outing in August.

Meanwhile, Austin Lingo has also needed to rebound from adversity. After falling to Youssef Zalal in his UFC debut, Lingo has earned back-to-back unanimous decision victories over Jacob Kilburn and Luis Saldana.

With that being said, I'm going with Landwehr for numerous reasons. For starters, he averages more significant strikes per minute (6.37) with better accuracy (51%) than Lingo (4.00 and 42%, respectively). Secondly, Landwehr nearly doubles his opponent's average takedown numbers, giving him the mat advantage as well.

Lingo is solid, but his inability to finish opponents at the UFC level will hurt him. Landwehr has shown that he can hang in the world's top MMA promotion, so look for him to get the victory here.

Winner: Nate Landwehr

Landwehr vs Lingo Best Bet

Even though Landwehr has better finishing skills, I'm not confident that he can end this one early. Lingo has better striking defense and holds an impressive 80% takedown defense rate. He's also never been finished in his career and should be able to hold his own in a three-round bout.

Still, Landwehr is the overall better and more experienced fighter, having what it takes to get the judges on his side. It might look close at times but expect Landwehr to get more points in the end.

Bet: Nate Landwehr by Points (+220)
