College football bowl season is finally here. One intriguing matchup this year is the Music City Bowl, which will pit the Tennessee Volunteers against the Purdue Boilermakers.

Tennessee will square off against Purdue at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, TN.

The weather in Nashville is looking promising for the Music City Bowl. The projected temperature is supposed to be 69 degrees for Thursday, with clouds and just a 13% chance of precipitation.

Music City Bowl History

The Quick Lane Bowl has been played since 1998. It has featured teams from the Big Ten and SEC conferences.

Tennessee is 1-1 in two previous Music City Bowl appearances. The Volunteers last played in the 2016 bowl, beating the Nebraska Cornhuskers, 38-24.

On the other hand, Purdue is 0-1 in its only Music City Bowl appearances. The Boilermakers were blown out, 63-14, by the Auburn Tigers Tide in 2018.
