Even though the New York Jets aren't in the NFL playoffs, they still had a season worth being proud of. Despite turmoil at the quarterback position, the Jets' seven victories were tied for the most since 2016. With some fine offseason tuning, it'd be far from a surprise to see the Jets in the 2023 postseason.

The good news for Jets fans is that their team holds the 13th overall pick at the 2023 NFL Draft. General manager Joe Douglas will have the opportunity to draft several NFL-ready players, meaning he must succeed with his pick to finally put an end to New York's playoff drought next year.

Here are the three most like draft targets for the Jets with the 13th overall pick.

1. Peter Skoronski, OT, Northwestern

Northwestern offensive tackle Peter Skoronski is a name that a lot of GMs would love to add to their o-line. The mammoth of a man (6-foot-4, 315 pounds) is about as NFL-ready as they come, displaying terrific skills in his work with the Wildcats. In 33 career starts at left tackle, Skoronski only surrendered five sacks, 13 quarterback hits and 26 hurries. That's exactly the type of protection that the Jets need — regardless of who's under center — after surrendering the 14th-most sacks (42) in 2022. With the ability to also play guard, New York can slot Skoronski in wherever they need him, making him a coach's dream. Assuming he lives up to the hype, Skoronski would be an anchor on the Jets' o-line for years to come.

2. Jordan Addison, WR, USC

Outside of Garrett Wilson, the Jets' wide receiver room was rather pedestrian this season. The team needs another talented wideout that can fill in the No. 2 role and take pressure off Wilson's shoulders. Fortunately, Jordan Addison can be that guy. The USC pass-catcher didn't let injuries bring him down this season, managing to rack up 875 yards and eight touchdowns on 11 catches. It was also one year ago that he led the entire nation with 17 receiving touchdowns. Addison's fantastic footwork and blistering speeds would give NFL defenses a headache, especially with Wilson on the other side of the field. The Jets can't afford to let a player like Addison slip by them if they want the passing game to be even more lethal in September.

3. Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida

The Jets (and their fans) don't have a lot of faith in Zach Wilson under center going forward, which is why it wouldn't be surprising if they targeted a quarterback like Anthony Richardson. The athletic Florida gunslinger was a joy to watch in 2022, finishing with 2,549 passing yards with 17 TDs to nine interceptions. He also turned 103 carries into 654 rushing yards and another nine TDs, displaying the type of mobility that GMs like in their QBs these days. Will Richardson be ready to play in the fall? Probably not, but that's not an issue considering how Douglas has made it clear he'll chase after a veteran arm in the offseason if the opportunity presents itself. If he can develop correctly to reach his potential, Richardson's presence would have Jets fans forgetting names like "Zach Wilson" and "Sam Darnold" in no time.
