Missouri Valley Tournament Prediction

The top of these conference standings came down to the final day of the regular season. Northern Iowa defeated Loyola Chicago in overtime (102-96) to lock down the No. 1 seed and bump the Ramblers down to No. 4. That means that if these teams meet head-to-head, it won't be in the finals.

Loyola Chicago enters as a heavy favorite for a reason. The Ramblers are the reigning Missouri Valley champions and have spent time ranked in the AP top 25 this season. Key starters like Braden Norris (4.3 assists) and Lucas Williamson (14.1 points) have NCAA Tournament experience as well.

It's important to avoid recency bias in this situation. The Ramblers did defeat the Panthers on their own court by 27 points on February 13 and came so close to sweeping them. Loyola Chicago also ranks No. 23 in the country in terms of offensive efficiency and No. 44 in defensive efficiency.

Trust head coach Drew Valentine to have his team fired up and ready to return to March Madness.
