The Detroit Lions have a chance to secure a spot in the NFL Playoffs for the first time since 2016 in Week 18. It's not as simple as defeating the Green Bay Packers, though. Head coach Dan Campbell's team would need a bit of additional help, but fans are eager to know what could come next.

What Seed Are the Lions?

The Lions have been eliminated from postseason contention. Despite beating the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks' win over the Los Angeles Rams prevented Detroit from making the playoffs.

Who Will the Lions Play in the Playoffs?

Detroit has missed the postseason for the sixth straight season. However, the Lions did finish second in the NFC North and posted a winning record for the first time since the 2017 campaign.

The Lions' first playoff matchup is not known yet. However, the NFL has already set the dates for each postseason round, giving a glimpse at potential days Detroit will play on.

Lions Playoff Schedule 2023

This space will be updated once the Lions' 2023 playoff schedule is known. Detroit will first play in Week 18 against the Green Bay Packers. That game is slated to take place at 8:20 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 8 and air on NBC. The Lions are 4.5-point road underdogs ahead of kickoff, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
