The Lions have looked terrific on both sides of the ball lately. First of all, the 32.2 points they've averaged over the last five games is second to only the Dallas Cowboys (35.4) over that stretch. Secondly, Detroit's defense has made some serious improvements, holding opponents to 20.3 points over the last six games compared to a 32.1 PPG clip in the first seven games.

The Jets have also been tough to assess lately. Losing three of their last four games doesn't help, especially when they were held to 12 or fewer points in two of those losses. There's also the fact that, two weeks ago, New York lost to the same Vikings team that the Lions beat without issue.

Right now, I'm riding with the hot hand, which happens to be the Lions in this case.
