The 2022 NCAA college football bowl game matchups have been revealed, including the RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl. This year's matchup is an interesting one as the Liberty Flames are set to go head-to-head against the Toledo Rockets.

Liberty could certainly use a victory right about now, having lost each of its last three games — including a 49-14 blowout loss to New Mexico State in its last outing. On the other hand, Toledo ended its own skid at two games with a strong 17-7 victory over Ohio to win the MAC Championship.

Can Liberty win its fourth consecutive bowl game? Or will Toledo spoil that dream by achieving even more success to end the campaign?

Toledo enters this contest as a slight favorite on the spread and moneyline. This Boca Raton Bowl clash also features a total of 53.5, which is average compared to this year's bowl games.

All signs point to Liberty's bowl success coming to an end in a few weeks. The Flames are just too tough to trust during their losing streak, especially after losing by 35 points to the Aggies. Liberty even tried using three different quarterbacks against New Mexico State, only for the trio to combine for just 207 yards with one touchdown and an interception on 25-of-39 passing.

Even with QB Dequan Finn being banged up, Toledo still managed to win the MAC Championship last week. The Rockets' ground game was the deciding factor (236 yards and one TD on 46 carries) and now gets to face a Liberty team that's allowed at least 176 rushing yards in each of its last three games.

Look for Toledo to get a decent-sized lead early on before using the run game to drain the clock.

Bowl games are exciting, but I'm expecting a lower-than-expected affair here. Liberty's offense looks like a mess right about now and Toledo's doesn't appear to be much better, averaging just 15.5 points over its last two games. On top of that, the total has gone under in four of Liberty's last six games, as well as in all but one of Toledo's last five.

While I still expect to see a fair amount of points scored, I don't think that the 53.5-point total is being surpassed.
