LeBron James is no stranger to beating the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, however, the Los Angeles Lakers' recent 100-92 win over New York marked the first time James has done it in the Purple & Gold.

New York City's grand stage and home of the Knicks has been known to bring out the best in the biggest stars to take the floor there, and James has certainly fit that bill throughout his historic NBA career.

Last week's win over New York marked the 30th time that LeBron has faced off against the Knicks at MSG in his incredible 17-year NBA career to date, and he has surely made the most of those 30 opportunities. Over a little more than 38.6 minutes per game (MPG) of action, LeBron has averaged 28.2 points (PPG), 6.8 rebounds (RPG) and 7.2 assists (APG) per game on nearly 50 percent (49.79 percent) shooting from the floor and 37.1 percent from beyond the arc.

For some added perspective compared to his career numbers, those numbers put LeBron above his career average stats in scoring (25.3 PPG) and 3-point shooting percentage (34.2 percent) in his appearances under the lights at MSG. LeBron has also scored 20 points or more in an astounding 26 of his 30 career appearances at Madison Square Garden.

LeBron James Career Record at Madison Square Garden

Despite splitting his last two results against the Knicks as a member of the Lakers, LeBron has amassed an impressive 21-9 career record in his 30 performances on the floor at Madison Square Garden. LeBron posted a dominant 15-4 record during his various seasons with Cleveland, but surprisingly just a 5-4 split in his nine games at MSG playing for the Miami Heat.

Even though LeBron is widely regarded in exclusive company as one of the greatest to ever play the game, he is far from alone on the list of stars to take things to the next level on the stage at Madison Square Garden.
