Disturbing Details on Kyler Murray's Leadership Emerge

Updated:

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has become a hot topic in recent days after scrubbing his Instagram page. He erased all but two posts, none of which actually show him in a Cardinals uniform, prompting questions about his relationship with the team.

Now a recent report has revealed disturbing detals regarding Murray's attitude and leadership.

Kyler Murray Trade Rumors

ESPN's Christ Mortensen said Sunday that sources describe Murray as "self-centered, immature and [a] finger pointer." That's a concerning way to talk about a franchise quarterback, and it should alarm Cardinals fans with Murray's rookie contract running out.

Drama between a star QB and his own team is nothing new. Russell Wilson went on a media circuit last offseason demanding changes, and the Seattle Seahawks eventually obliged.

Wilson's issues were with pieces on the roster, though, while Murray's issues seem more personal. It'd be an extreme challenge for the Cardinals to make their dreams of contention a reality if Murray is dragging down the team or his teammates.

Despite their current issues, it seems Arizona is optimistic things will resolve peacefully.

Hopefully respected veterans and head coach Kliff Kingsbury can teach Murray how to lead a team the right way. The former No. 1 pick certainly has a ton of weight on his shoulders, and better managing everything on his plate will make everyone's lives better.
