Kurt Kitayama PGA Championship Prediction 2023

It has been an interesting 2022-23 PGA Tour campaign for Kurt Kitayama. He earned his first career victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in early March, but that was followed up by three straight outings in which he missed the cut. He missed the cut at the recent Wells Fargo Championship, too.

More 2023 PGA Championship betting content from The Duel:

Kitayama will look to back on track at the PGA Championship, which will not be easy given it is a tournament he has never finished better than T51 at. The 30-year-old even missed the cut at the 2021 PGA Championship before not participating in 2022. There's been more misses than hits here.

To drive the point home, Kitayama is set to play on an Oak Hill course that stresses the importance of a reliable approach game. He notably ranks 73rd in Strokes Gained: Approach the Green. Kitayama enters with no momentum or course upside, so I'll back him to miss the cut (-118) this weekend.
