The New York Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers meet head-to-head in Summer League action on Monday night. The Knicks have cruised through their first two games, most recently defeating the Chicago Bulls by a score of 101-69. Quentin Grimes led the way with 24 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists, while Jericho Sims posted another double-double (11 points, 10 rebounds).

Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers earned their first win by taking down the New Orleans Pelicans 85-68 on Saturday. Second-year pro Trendon Watford looked unstoppable, scoring 17 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. Portland's three-point shooting (3-for-24) was a major cause for concern, though.

Knicks vs Blazers Prediction & Pick

This Knicks team has everything going for them right now. New York has shot better than 48% in both of its first two games and just held the Bulls to 37.1% shooting on Saturday. Grimes looks like an early Summer League MVP considering he's posting 24.0 points and 6.0 assists per game.

Although Portland was able to bounce back from a tough opening loss, it couldn't get anything going from beyond the arc and now run into a New York team that knows how to defend the paint. The battle between Watford and Sims by the rim is likely going to determine which team comes out on top.

I'll roll with a hot Knicks squad to cover the -2.5 spread here (-105).
