Kirby Smart Bowl History (All-Time Record, Wins and Results)

Updated:

Head coach Kirby Smart continues to rack up bowl appearances. The current Georgia Bulldogs HC led his team to another major postseason game in 2022, and now they could end their year with a second straight national championship.

Here's everything you need to know about the decorated coach's college football postseason results.

Kirby Smart All-Time Bowl Record

Kirby Smart owns a 7-2 all-time record in bowl games. His first postseason appearance came during the 2016 season with Georgia. The Bulldogs went to the Liberty Bowl that year and defeated TCU, 31-23, giving Smart a win in his bowl debut.

Georgia has made the postseason in each of Smart's first seven years at the helm. The team lost just twice during this span, falling in the national championship following the 2017 season and the Sugar Bowl for the 2018 campaign. Along the way, though, there have been many wins, including at the Rose and Orange Bowls.

Smart and the Bulldogs participated in two bowls following the 2021 season. They first defeated Michigan in the Orange Bowl to advance to the CFP final. Then Georgia took down Alabama in the National Championship Game, giving Smart his first title win as a head coach.
