The 2022-23 NBA season continues on Monday with seven more games, including a battle between the Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings. The Grizzlies rank second in the Western Conference with a 31-15 record, while the Kings check in third with a 26-19 record. This one could go either way.

Memphis has now lost back-to-back games following an 11-game winning streak thanks to a 112-110 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. Meanwhile, Sacramento saw its six-game winning streak end with a 129-127 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday. Which team will bounce back tonight?

  • The Grizzlies put together a 51-30-1 ATS record last year.
  • The Kings went 27-29 as underdogs of 1 point or greater last year.
  • Last season, the combined scoring went over the point total 42 times in Grizzlies games.
  • The Kings had 43 of their 82 games hit the over last year.

Kings vs. Grizzlies Prediction & Pick

Not many fans expected the Grizzlies or the Kings to be within reach of the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference over halfway through the season. They've both exceeded expectations on a nightly basis, though. Earning a win on Monday would build momentum and I like the Grizzlies to capitalize.

Memphis' strength lies in its ability to dominate down low as it averages a league-best 59.4 points in the paint per game. That is bad news for Sacramento considering it allows 55.0 points in the paint per game (No. 28 in NBA). Players like Steven Adams and Jaren Jackson Jr. should excel in this battle.

Memphis is also 8-1 straight up in its last nine games against Sacramento, so rock with the Grizzlies.

Final Score Prediction: Kings: 118 | Grizzlies: 125

Kings vs. Grizzlies Best Bet

It's worth pointing out that the Grizzlies are playing on the second night of a back-to-back. However, the coaching staff has given no indications that star players will be sat. Expect Ja Morant to be leading the offense once again as he is averaging 27.2 points and 7.5 assists in his last six games.

Memphis has been cold as of late, but it is a reliable 5-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last six games against Sacramento. In fact, it hasn't lost a game at the Golden 1 Center since February of 2020. All signs point to a comfortable bounce-back victory for head coach Taylor Jenkins' squad on Monday.

Bet: Memphis Grizzlies ML (-118)
