The late game of the NBA slate on Saturday night sees the Dallas Mavericks travel to Sacramento for a matchup with the Kings.

The Mavericks come into this contest winners of three in a row and four of their last five. The Kings, on the other hand, lost their last outing and have lost three of their last five games.

Despite being the road team and playing without their best player in Luka Doncic, the Mavericks come into this one as the slight favorites. The total for this game sits at 236, which is one of the highest of the night, with both the over and under at -110 odds.

Kings vs. Mavericks Betting Trends

  • The Kings won 39 games against the spread last season, while failing to cover or pushing 43 times.
  • Against the spread, as underdogs of 1.5 points or greater, the Mavericks went 16-14-1 last season.
  • Kings games hit the over 43 out of 82 times last season.
  • In 82 Mavericks games last season, 31 of them went over the total.

Kings vs. Mavericks Prediction & Pick

These teams are on the back end of a back-to-back set against each other. Dallas came away with thew win last night 122-114 and I don't expect a different result tonight. While new Maverick Kyrie Irving finished with 25 points last night, he was not efficient, only shooting 5/14 from the field.

He should be more comfortable tonight, especially playing in the same arena. The Kings will also be without Malik Monk tonight, who has filled a valuable scoring role off the bench for Sacramento. If the Kings can't get more from their starting lineup tonight outside of De'Aaron Fox scoring-wise, it will be tough to grab a win.

Prediction: Mavericks 120 | Kings 117

Kings vs. Mavericks Best Bet

As mentioned above, Irving had an off night and still managed to bucket 25 points after a perfect 12/12 from the free throw line. I think he'll be much more efficient tonight from the field. He always knows how to get to the line, and add in a better FG percentage and he should have no issues hitting his over of 24.5 points tonight, even on the back end of a doubleheader in Sacramento.

Bet: Kyrie Irving Over 24.5 Points.
