Holland vs Ponzinibbio Prediction

Kevin Holland has seen better days. He's been finished in each of his last two fights, losing to Khamzat Chimaev by submission and to Stephen Thompson by fourth-round TKO. He'll have his hands full with Santiago Ponzinibbio, who scored a KO win over Alex Morono after suffering back-to-back losses.

I'm expecting a close fight this weekend. Holland averages 4.06 significant strikes per minute with 54% accuracy while Ponzinibbio averages 5.02 with 41%. While the former absorbs nearly two fewer strikes per minute than Ponzinibbio, it's the underdog who has the striking defense advantage (61% vs. 52%).

Having said that, I'm going with Holland as the winner. His losses have come against some tough opponents, whereas Ponzinibbio nearly lost to Morono before landing the knockout blow. It'll still be a close contest, but expect Holland to come out looking like the better fighter.

Winner: Kevin Holland

Holland vs Ponzinibbio Best Bet

With the two welterweights losing more often than they've won recently, I don't anticipate a finish here. Besides, Font has finished an opponent in five straight outings while Ponzinibbio has done so once in his previous four.

Whoever wins this fight will likely do so by going the distance and I see Holland doing so due to his experience against tougher opponents.

Bet: Kevin Holland by Points (+170)
