Moneyline: KST: (+365) | OU: (-490)
Spread: KST: +12.5 (-108) | OU: -12.5 (-112)
Total: 53.5 — Over: (-108) | Under: (-112)

Oklahoma is ranked No. 6 in the AP Poll, but that hasn't stopped Kansas State from competing on a level playing field with the Sooners. Oklahoma has been ranked top-10 in each of the last five years when tackling K-State, and each time as a double-digit favorite. The Wildcats have covered 4 of those 5 contests and beat the Sooners outright in 2019 and 2020.

The -12.5 spread is the lowest in those recent meetings, and each of the last five contests have reached at least 65 combined points. This Saturday night prime-time national TV game is on FOX, and the total is 53.5 points – a few points below the average for an NCAA football total.

Kansas State vs Oklahoma Prediction & Pick

Oklahoma cruised to a 49-14 win at Nebraska last week, and the Sooners rolled up 580 yards of offense including 312 rushing yards. Kansas State got outpunched by longshot Tulane last week in Manhattan, 17-10 as a 2 TD favorite. Wildcats senior QB Adrian Martinez, the transfer from Nebraska, passed for just 151 yards at 4.8 yards per pass in defeat.

Clearly, the Wildcats got caught looking ahead to this conference opener with Oklahoma, but there are concerns about the Wildcats' offensive line opening holes and pass protecting against the Sooners' defense that is rated among the best in the Big 12 this year.

Final Score Prediction: Oklahoma: 34 | Kansas State: 13

Kansas State vs Oklahoma Best Bet

This looked like a good buy low spot on Kansas State off their surprising loss, and sell high on Oklahoma after their blowout road win. While the Kansas State defense has been solid and did hold all three opponents to date to 17 points or less, both Tulane and South Dakota had decent balanced attacks and were able to run the ball for at least 140 yards on the Wildcats.

This is a new coaching match-up with Oklahoma's Brent Venables and fourth-year K-State coach Chris Klieman, who is 4-0 ATS when taking 12 or more points as an underdog. The Sooners defense is much better under Venables, and OU has allowed just 30 points in three games. UCF transfer QB Dillon Gabriel is getting more comfortable in the Sooners system under his former offensive coordinator, and adds the passing game balance with 7 TDs and 0 INT's thus far.

Bet: Oklahoma -12.5 (-112)
