Julio Jones Injury Update is Welcomed Sign for Buccaneers

Updated:

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been without veteran wideout Julio Jones since Week 2 of the season as he continues to nurse a knee injury. At Thursday's practice, however, Jones was seen warming up with fellow wide receiver Chris Godwin.

Seeing them both on the field is a welcomed sign for Tampa Bay. Jones looked to have a promising connection with Tom Brady early on, grabbing three big catches for 69 yards in Week 1 against a stout Dallas Cowboys defense.

If Jones is able to play, it will be the first time since Week 1 that he, Godwin, and Mike Evans will be on the field together. The Buccaneers have one of the most talented and dangerous skill position groups when healthy and Jones is a big part of that.

Tampa is currently a 10.5-point road favorite against the Carolina Panthers in Week 7, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
