The 2022-23 NBA season continues on Friday, Dec. 2 with a slate of 11 matchups, including a showdown at Vivint Arena between the Utah Jazz and Indiana Pacers. The Jazz are feeling good about themselves after snapping a four-game losing streak with a 125-112 win against the LA Clippers on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Pacers have been alternating between wins and losses over their last five games, losing 137-114 to the Sacramento Kings in their last outing on Wednesday. With Indiana losing two of its last three road games, Rick Carlisle needs to get his players rolling early on.

Jazz vs. Pacers Odds & Spread

  • All NBA betting lines, odds and prop bets are from FanDuel Sportsbook.
  • Moneyline: UTA: (-196) | IND: (+164)
  • Spread: UTA: -5 (-108) | IND: +5 (-112)
  • Total: 239 -- Over: (-110) | Under: (-110)

The Jazz enter this contest as slight home favorites on the moneyline and spread per FanDuel Sportsbook's odds. This 9 p.m. ET clash also features an over/under of 239 points, which is the highest of Friday's projected totals.

Jazz vs. Pacers Betting Trends

  • The Jazz went 33-47-2 ATS last season.
  • Against the spread, as underdogs of 4.5 points or more, the Pacers went 16-11-1 last year.
  • A total of 38 Jazz games last season went over the point total.
  • Out of 82 Pacers games last year, 47 hit the over.

Jazz vs. Pacers Prediction & Pick

It's fairly wild to see the Jazz as 5-point favorites tonight after their recent losing skid. While the win against the Clippers did reverse their fortune, it doesn't change the fact that LA was without both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

The Pacers shouldn't be underestimated after winning 11 of their last 16 games. There's also the fact that all signs point to Tyrese Haliburton (groin) suiting up tonight, which should give Indiana a boost. The starting point guard participated in a shootaround early Friday and even told reporters afterwards that he feels much better than he did yesterday.

With Mike Conley being absent again from Utah's backcourt, I see Haliburton having a big game to help the Pacers return to their winning ways. He's averaging a career-high 19.3 points while leading the NBA with 11.2 assists, so expect him to set up his teammates while scoring the ball himself without much issue.

As good as the Jazz have been at times this season, I expect the Pacers to come out as the winners of this probable shootout.

Final Score Prediction: Pacers: 124 | Jazz: 119

Jazz vs. Pacers Best Bet

Those who love high-scoring games will want to tune into this one. The Jazz and Pacers have two of the highest-scoring offenses in the Association, averaging 117.0 (No. 5) and 115.6 points (No. 8), respectively. Furthermore, both sides' defenses rank among the 10 worst in the NBA.

At the end of the day, I'd be shocked if this game isn't a non-stop bucketfest.

Bet: Over 239 Points (-110)
