There's always a lot to learn about the NFL's latest rookie class, but continually mispronouncing a first-round pick's name might just take the cake. It turns out that is the case involving Miami Dolphins' wide receiver and No. 6 overall pick Jaylen Waddle.

It seems hard to mess up a name that looks so easy to say, yet Waddle's last name is apparently not pronounced like it is spelled. While everyone has been saying Waddle like it rhymes with coddle, family back in the WR's hometown claim it is actually pronounced Wah-dell (like it rhymes with Adele).

No matter how his last name is pronounced, Waddle is expected to take on an immediate role on this Dolphin's offense. He has game-changing speed and an ability to run crisp routes that should allow him to translate his skills to the NFL level rather smoothly.

The former Alabama star was able put together a prolific college career despite dealing with a lingering ankle injury for most of his last season with the Crimson Tide. Waddle racked up 2,016 yards from scrimmage on 110 touches and scored 17 touchdowns across three seasons (34 games played).

Waddle is currently tied for the 10th-best odds to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award at +2200, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. It'll be interesting to see if Waddle ever points out the mispronunciation himself, but this just goes to show you learn something new every day.
