Jalen Ramsey Tweets Intriguing Response to Lions Free Agency Rumors

Jalen Ramsey's contract situation is something everyone around the league is keeping a close eye on. Amid rumors the star cornerback could be a cap casualty cut this offseason, Detroit Lions wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown recently made a public recruitment pitch to Ramsey.

This plea got back to the All-Pro CB, and he tweeted an intriguing response to the idea.

St. Brown recently campaigned for Ramsey to come to Detroit if he's released, pointing to the defender's history with Jared Goff and telling him to reach out. Ramsey clearly appreciated St. Brown's efforts, saying he tried his hardest to help the Lions make the playoffs this past season.

Ramsey then played it smart and declined to comment on his future. He did leave things a little open-ended, though, adding "We shall see" with a laughing emoji.

At the very least, St. Brown has Ramsey's attention. The six-time Pro Bowler didn't shoot down the idea of reuniting with his former quarterback and signing with the Lions, so there's some hope this could actually come to fruition.

Of course, there's a lot that needs to happen in order for Ramsey to land in Detroit. There's no guarantee the Rams release him, and he'll have plenty of suitors if that does happen. A trade could also be on the table, which could rule the Lions out if another team meets the asking price.

Still, it's exciting to think about the three-time First Team All-Pro talent joining Detroit's secondary. Adding a star defender to this budding contender could have a huge impact in 2023.
