Ja'Marr Chase Tweets Reaction to Madden 23 Ratings Snub

Updated:

Ja'Marr Chase had one of the best rookie seasons by a wide receiver ever in 2021. The Cincinnati Bengals standout broke a handful of records on the way to a Super Bowl appearance, and he'll look to be even better in Year 2.

Despite being one of the best WRs in the league last season, Chase has been snubbed from the top 10 of players at his position in Madden 23. He tweeted his thoughts after the news broke.

Chase took the best approach possible, not letting the disrespect get to him and instead using it as "extra motivation." He checks in at a staggeringly low rating of 87, which puts him outside the top 15 wide receivers in the upcoming flagship football video game.

It's befuddling for Chase to not even crack a 90 overall. He posted the fourth-most receiving yards (1,455) and second-most receiving TDs (13) in the league last season, outpacing many of his veteran counterparts.

Keenan Allen, who's No. 9 among WRs in Madden rating, only managed 1,138 yards and 6 TDs last campaign. Amari Cooper posted just 865 yards and 8 TDs in 2021 but somehow snuck into the top 10.

Bengals fans know how gifted Chase is, so it'd be no surprise to see the second-year pro's rating skyrocket once the regular season finally gets underway.
