Is Tiger Woods Playing in the Scottish Open?

Updated:

The 2022 Genesis Scottish Open teed off on Thursday, July 7 with a stacked field, considered one of the best non-major group of players on the year. Although the field is full with the biggest names in golf, fans are wondering if the legendary Tiger Woods will be in attendance.

Is Tiger Playing in the Scottish Open?

Tiger Woods will not be playing at the 2022 Scottish Open. The 15-time major championship winner continues to work back from injuries suffered in a car crash in February 2021. He's only made two appearances on tour this season, The Masters and PGA Championship.

Tiger Woods Scottish Open

After withdrawing early from the PGA Championship, Woods opted to take another break from PGA Tour action and instead prepare for the upcoming 150th Open Championship, which starts on July 14. He recently played at the JP McManus Pro-Am (Adare Manor, Ireland) and will remain in Europe to continue prepping for the prestigious Old Course at St. Andrews.
