Is Giannis Antetokounmpo Playing Today? (Latest Injury Updates and Bucks vs Pistons on Jan. 23)

The Milwaukee Bucks are back in action on Monday night as they face the Detroit Pistons at 7 p.m. ET. One player's status to keep an eye on ahead of tip-off is superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, who hasn't played since Jan. 11 because of a knee injury.

Things are looking up for Antetokounmpo and the Bucks. After a five-game absence, the expectation is that Giannis will return to the lineup for Monday's contest. He finds himself as probable to return.

Milwaukee has been playing things slow with its superstar, maintaining the injury was never serious but taking extra precautions. Giannis has been able to conduct workouts and weight room work despite not playing.

It would be surprising if Giannis did not play on Monday night. Considering his absence has purely been a precaution, his probable status makes it likely he takes the court.

Giannis enters tonight's slate with an over/under of 28.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NBA odds. Considering his dominance of the Bucks' offense, he offers value to hit these numbers, which all hover around his season averages of 31.0 points, 11.9 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game.

Antetokounmpo is also listed as an option on FanDuel's DFS market at a price tag of $11,400. He's the highest-price player on tonight's slate, and for good reason. Averaging a ridiculous 54.5 DFS points per night, Giannis looks to right a streak of inefficient performances.
