Hornets vs. Bucks Game Info

  • Date: Saturday, December 3, 2022
  • Time: 6:00 PM ET
  • Venue: Spectrum Center -- Charlotte, North Carolina
  • Coverage: BSSE and BSWI

The 2022-23 NBA season rolls on with seven matchups slated for Saturday, Dec. 3, including an Eastern Conference tilt between the Charlotte Hornets and Milwaukee Bucks. The Hornets have built some momentum lately, winning for the third time in their last four tries with a 117-116 win against the Washington Wizards on Friday.

The Bucks were also in action, however, they didn't get the result they were looking for. Milwaukee emerged on the wrong side of a 133-129 shootout with the Los Angeles Lakers, snapping the former's three-game winning streak.

Hornets vs. Bucks Odds & Spread

  • All NBA betting lines, odds and prop bets are from FanDuel Sportsbook.
  • Moneyline: MIL: (-118) | CHA: (+100)
  • Spread: MIL: -1.5 (-108) | CHA: +1.5 (-112)
  • Total: 220.5 -- Over: (-110) | Under: (-110)

The Bucks enter this contest as slight road favorites on the moneyline and spread per FanDuel Sportsbook's odds. This 6 p.m. ET clash also features an over/under of 220.5 points, which is the third-lowest of Saturday's projected totals.

Hornets vs. Bucks Betting Trends

  • The Bucks are 11-7-1 against the spread this season.
  • The Hornets have been underdogs by 6 points or more 11 times this season and are 5-5-1 ATS in those matchups.
  • Bucks games have gone over the total 10 times out of 21 chances this season.
  • Hornets games this year have gone over the total in 11 of 21 opportunities (52.4%).
  • Milwaukee sports a better record against the spread when playing at home (9-5-0) than it does in road games (2-2-1).
  • Charlotte has performed better against the spread away (6-5-1) than at home (3-6-0) this season.

Hornets vs. Bucks Prediction & Pick

Earlier Saturday, the Bucks opened as 6-point favorites over the Hornets. After all, Milwaukee sits second in the east while Charlotte is third-worst in the conference. Having said that, the spread is down to just -1.5 in the Bucks' favor after it's been revealed that Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, Serge Ibaka and MarJon Beauchamp have all been ruled out with various ailments.

With the Bucks essentially being down to Grayson Allen and a day-to-day Brook Lopez as their best players, things could get ugly. Sure, the Hornets will be without LaMelo Ball (ankle), but their remaining players should be good enough to thwart Milwaukee's second-stringers.

Due to the injury bug taking out the Bucks' key players, back the Hornets getting things done at home.

Final Score Prediction: Hornets: 113 | Bucks: 100

Hornets vs. Bucks Best Bet

With the Bucks' lineup being decimated, I don't expect a lot of points tonight. The under has already been hit in four of the last five Hornets-Bucks matchups anyway and the lack of offensive talent makes it more than likely that trend will continue when the dust settles.

Don't be shocked if tonight's matchup is quite the low-scoring contest.

Bet: Over 220.5 Points (-110)
