Updated:

The final leg of the horse racing Triple Crown is finally here. The field for the 2023 Belmont Stakes was drawn on Tuesday, and nine horses are now set to compete for the win on Saturday, June 10.

One contender everyone has their eyes on ahead of this race is Hit Show, who is trained by the renowned Brad Cox. Here's everything you need to know about this colt before he vies for the 2023 Belmont Stakes title.

Hit Show Belmont Stakes Odds and Post Position

Brad Cox currently owns 10-1 odds to win the Belmont Stakes, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, and drew post position No. 7. This spot has produced the fourth-most winners (14) in the race's history.

Hit Show Horse Trainer and Jockey

Hit Show is trained by Brad Cox, who has two other horses (Tapit Shoes, Angel of Empire) in this race as well. Cox's most memorable year on the circuit was in 2021 when he trained the winners of both the Kentucky Derby (Mandaloun) and the Belmont Stakes (Essential Quality), plus the victor at the Breeders' Cup Classic (Knicks Go).

Hit Show's jockey for the 2023 Belmont Stakes is Manuel Franco. The 28-year-old has accomplished a lot over the last decade, which includes riding Tiz the Law to victory at the 2020 Belmont Stakes. He was also victorious with Sharing at the 2019 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf.

Hit Show Race History

Hit Show has a career record of six starts, three wins, and one second-place finish all-time. He last ran an event in May, finishing fifth at Churchill Downs.

Hit Show Belmont Stakes Prediction and Pick

Hit Show is one of the favorites this year and it's hard to disagree with that notion. The promising colt has won three of his six career races and has placed second or better in three of his last four outings. Although he didn't win last month's Kentucky Derby, a fifth-place finish is still plenty to be proud of.

Hit Show is also blessed with a terrific team behind him. Both Cox and Franco have won the Belmont Stakes within the last three years, proving that they have what it takes to get to the top. Now that the duo is linking up, it's hard to doubt their potential.

There's some decent value that comes from backing Hit Show at 10-1 odds. With the results and a strong time on Hit Show's side, I like his chances of being victorious at Belmont Park.
