4 Greatest Wide Receivers in Colts History

4 Greatest Wide Receivers in Colts History

Updated:

The Indianapolis Colts, formerly of Baltimore, have been one of the more successful franchises in NFL history, with five total championship titles. They have accomplished this with incredible players and talents.

At wide receiver, four players stand out as the top Colts to ever take the field.

4. T.Y. Hilton (2012-present)

T.Y. Hilton may eventually rise higher on this list, being that he's still playing, but it won't be easy as they top three are no common wide receivers. Fourth in franchise history in receiving yard and second in receiving yards per game, Hilton has quietly torn up the stat sheet for Indy in recent years. He is a four-time Pro Bowler and one-time NFL receiving yards leader.

3. Raymond Berry (1955-1967)

The Baltimore Colts best wide receiver was easily Raymond Berry. During a different time period, Berry was not only a two-time NFL Champion, but a four-time First-Team All-Pro and 9,000-plus yard receiver. He also led the league in receiving yards three times in his career (1957, '59 and '60). Later, Berry went on to coach to a 51-41 career record. Now a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Berry has also had his No. 82 retired by the Colts.

2. Reggie Wayne (2001-2014)

Pretty much a career Colt (besides a workout and a cup of coffee in New England), Reggie Wayne amassed some ridiculous numbers with the franchise. He only ranks second in Colts history with 14,345 receiving yards and 82 touchdowns, but those numbers would lead many franchises. The former Super Bowl Champion was a six-time Pro Bowler and one-time First-Team All-Pro. He is now a member of the Colts Ring of Honor, with over 1,000 career receptions.

1. Marvin Harrison (1996-2008)

The only man with better receiving stats than Wayne in Colts history is former teammate Marvin Harrison. Harrison racked up 14,580 receiving yards on 1,102 catches with the Colts, adding an absurd 128 receiving touchdowns. Harrison is a Super Bowl Champion, eight-time Pro Bowler, three-time First-Team All-Pro. He led the NFL in receiving twice, and even held the NFL single-season reception record until Michael Thomas broke it in 2019. Harrison was a member of the NFL 100th Anniversary Team, is in the Colts Ring of Honor and is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
