The Rams franchise has quite a bit of history, from its time in Los Angeles, to St. Louis and back to LA again. Of course, the team has also had its fair share of elite signal-callers over the years.
With that in mind, let's take a look at the three best passers in Rams' franchise history.
3. Roman Gabriel (1962-72)
This one could've gone in a few different directions – Marc Bulger, Jim Everett, Bob Waterfield and even Jared Goff are certainly contenders. Ultimately, though, Roman Gabriel's body of work gives him the nod. As the team's quarterback for a decade, Gabriel is the franchise leader in passing touchdowns (154) and ranks third in yards (22,223). He was a two-time Pro Bowler with the Rams, a first-team All-Pro selection and league MVP in 1969.
2. Norm Van Brocklin (1949-57)
Playing back in the late 1940s to 1950s, it's difficult to compare stats across such drastically different eras. Still, Norm Van Brocklin made his mark on the franchise with 118 TDs (No. 4 in team history) and led the team to a 42-20-3 record while at the helm. He still holds the NFL single-game passing record (554 yards) became an NFL Hall of Fame member in 1971.
1. Kurt Warner (1998-2003)
Of course, Kurt Warner, who also topped our list of the best QBs in Cardinals history, grabs the top spot here. He only played three seasons with at least 10 starts in St. Louis, but he was undoubtedly prolific. He led the team's "Greatest Show on Turf" offense to a Super Bowl victory in 1999, and followed that up with a last-second loss in the 2001 Super Bowl. During his time in STL, he led the league in passing touchdowns twice and won the NFL MVP award twice. Though he couldn't sustain his peak with the Rams for too long, Warner didn't need much time to prove he was the best QB in franchise history.
