When Do the Warriors Play Next in the NBA Playoffs?

The Warriors won't be waiting long for their next game. The conference semifinals round has already gotten underway, and Golden State will first be in action on Tuesday, May 2 at 10 p.m. ET. The 6-seed Warriors are set to face the 7-seed Lakers for a spot in the Western Conference Finals.

Who Will the Warriors Play in Round 2 of the Playoffs?

As the 6-seed, the Warriors will play the 7-seed Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the playoffs due to the fact that there is no reseeding in the postseason. The Lakers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies in six games to advance.

Golden State's second round matchup will be a typical best-of-seven series that follows the 2-2-1-1-1 format. That means the better seed (Golden State) will host Games 1 and 2, plus Games 5 and 7 if those are necessary. The worse seed (Los Angeles) hosts Games 3 and 4, plus Game 6 if that is necessary.

If the Warriors beat the Lakers to advance, they would then head to the Western Conference Finals with an NBA Finals berth on the line.
