Golden Knights vs Oilers Betting Trends

  • Vegas is 11-3 straight up in its last 14 away games.
  • The total has hit the over in five of Vegas' last seven games.
  • Edmonton is 5-2 straight up in its last seven games against Vegas.
  • The total has hit the over in four of Edmonton's last six games against Vegas.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Prediction & Pick

Edmonton made all the right adjustments in Game 2, toning down its physicality after tallying 46 hits in Game 1 and forcing Vegas to be physical instead. It led to a whopping 70 penalty minutes for the Knights and the Oilers took advantage by scoring a goal on three of six power play opportunities.

The Knights certainly have a chance to make adjustments of their own prior to Game 4, but it's not going to be easy given this series now shifts to Rogers Place. The Oilers have won 11 of their last 13 home games and averaged 4.33 goals per home game in their first-round series win over the Kings.

Goaltending is going to make a huge difference in this game as Vegas' Laurent Brossoit has struggled to keep Edmonton in check, allowing a total of 9 goals on 63 shots. He doesn't stand much of a chance if Draisaitl and McDavid continue to play on the insane level they have been in the playoffs.

Final Score Prediction: Golden Knights: 3 | Oilers: 5

Golden Knights vs Oilers Best Bet

Game 2 featured only 6 total goals, but it was notably the first time this season that fewer than 7 goals were scored in a game between the Oilers and Golden Knights. An average of 8.0 goals have been scored across six head-to-head matchups. The total has hit the over in five of Vegas' last seven games overall as well as in four of Edmonton's last six games overall. Trust both offenses to keep firing.
