Golden Knights vs Oilers Prediction, Odds & Best Bet for NHL Playoffs Game 6 (Edmonton Forces Game 7)

The Golden Knights have a chance to advance to the Western Conference Finals following Game 5's 4-3 victory over the Oilers. Golden Knights vs Oilers Betting Trends

  • Vegas is 9-3 straight up (SU) in its last 12 games against the Western Conference.
  • Edmonton is 12-3 SU in its last 15 home games.
  • The total has hit the Under in five of Vegas' last seven games against the Pacific Division.
  • The total has hit the Under in six of Edmonton's last eight home games against Vegas.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Prediction & Pick

Although they lost Game 5, the Oilers still had a few bright spots. They outshot the Golden Knights (35-31) and also went 3-of-4 (75%) on the powerplay, whereas Vegas was only 2-of-7 (28.6%) on the man advantage. Edmonton's 14 giveaways were concerning, though, so tightening up when it comes to puck control and passing decisions is key to winning on Sunday.

The two sides have alternated wins to begin the series and I see that trend continuing in Game 5. The Oilers are 12-3 SU in their past 15 home contests and just defeated the Golden Knights 4-1 at Rogers Place two games ago. On top of that, Edmonton hasn't lost consecutive games since the end of February.

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are two of the best players on the planet and know how to step up when it counts. As long as the Oilers' duo shows up early and often Sunday, the home team is in a good spot to force Game 7.

Final Score Prediction: Oilers: 4 | Golden Knights: 2

Golden Knights vs Oilers Best Bet

Although he leads the 2022-23 playoffs with 13 goals, Leon Draisaitl hasn't found the back of the net since Game 2. The Golden Knights have done a good job at shutting him down, but that can't last forever. After all, the veteran superstar only had goal droughts longer than three games twice during the regular season.

With eight goals in his last nine games at Rogers Place, it's time for Draisaitl to snap his goal drought in Game 6. Sitting at -105 odds to score a goal, you can't go wrong with that value.

Bet: Leon Draisaitl — Any Time Goal Scorer (-105)
