Week 1 of the 2022 NFL season includes a showdown between the New York Giants and Tennessee Titans. The Giants hope to see big things in Brian Daboll's first season as the head coach, however, there are still doubts about the returning playing cast, especially quarterback Daniel Jones, since joining the league.

The Titans might not look as intimidating without A.J. Brown, but they're still back-to-back AFC South champs for a reason. Derrick Henry is still one of the top three running backs in the league and with the help of a solid defense, Tennessee is still a tough team to beat.

Updated (Sunday, Sept. 11, 11:15 a.m. EST): Updated odds were provided from FanDuel Sportsbook. The point spread remains steady at 5.5 points in favor of the Titans.

The Titans enter this contest as the favorite on the moneyline and the spread. This 4:25 p.m. ET clash also features a total of 43.5, which is a bit low compared to this week's NFL projected totals.

Giants vs Titans Prediction & Pick

With a new head coach, there's a sense of optimism surrounding the Giants. Having said that, Jones is a serial underperformer and there's also the question about whether or not New York's wideouts can stay healthy this year. Needless to say, there's a lot left for the Giants to prove.

The Titans love to run the ball and, fortunately, the Giants gave up 129.0 rushing yards per game last year (No. 25). Henry is ready to pick up from where he left off before his 2021 regular season-ending injury and I don't think that New York is ready to handle that just yet. I expect the Titans to get out to a lead early on and not look back.

Final Score Prediction: Titans: 28 | Giants: 13

Giants vs Titans Betting Trends

- The Giants are 0-6 against the spread (ATS) in their last six games.

- The total has hit the under in each of Tennessee's last five home games.

Giants vs Titans Best Bet

All NFL betting lines, odds and prop bets are available on FanDuel Sportsbook.

With the Titans being the clear-cut better team here, I like their odds to cover the 5.5-point spread. Once Tennessee gets the lead, it's going to be tough for the Giants to close that gap, especially with Henry running out the clock. Considering that the Titans also perform well ATS when the Giants are involved, the spread is the best option here.

Bet: Titans -5.5 (-112)
