Giants vs Titans NFL Week 1 Opening Odds Show Big Underdog on FanDuel Sportsbook

Updated:

The NFL satisfied its fans' appetite for football when it revealed the full 2022 season schedule on Thursday night. One 'David vs. Goliath' matchup that's been getting some attention is the Week 1 tilt between the New York Giants and Tennessee Titans.

FanDuel Sportsbook has already released its opening odds for this Week 1 matchup and is listing the Giants as a major underdog against the Titans.

Giants vs Titans Week 1 Odds

FanDuel Sportsbook has the Giants listed as the 6.5-point road underdogs with -115 odds to cover the spread. Meanwhile, the Titans have -105 odds to cover as the 6.5-point favorites at Nissan Stadium.

The Giants actually have one of the easiest schedules next season, but must get past the Titans before things lighten up. That's going to be easier said than done after New York has lost six of its last seven outings against Tennessee.

The Titans are still projected to be a solid team even after trading away wideout A.J. Brown. A healthy Derrick Henry should remain among the best running backs in the NFL and could have a vintage 'King Henry' game against a Giants defense that allowed 129.0 rushing yards per game in 2021 (No. 25).

A simple look at the Super Bowl odds shows just how much of a mismatch this Week 1 game could be. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Titans at +3000 odds (No. 15) to win Super Bowl LVII in February, whereas the Giants sit at +8000 (T-No. 23).
