Giants Announce Shocking Change of Plans for Carlos Correa Press Conference

Updated:

The San Francisco Giants may have missed out on Aaron Judge, but they quickly pivoted and gave that money to star shortstop Carlos Correa, signing him to a 13-year contract to be the foundation of their franchise.

The Giants had originally scheduled Correa's introductory press conference for Tuesday, but that has now been postponed. Correa took his physical with the team on Monday, and Tuesday's press conference was canceled because they are still awaiting some test results from that physical.

It is unknown at this time if the results are simply delayed because of it being the week of Christmas, or if there is a larger issue with something wrong medically with the results.

If it's the latter, this could pose a big problem for the Giants. It's very rare someone axtually fails their physical enough to not move forward with the contract, much less a contract of Correa's maginitute.

At this point, it's all speculation though, and it could very well be much to do about nothing. It's certsainly a situation to monitor for Giants fans though. When you make a signing this big and impactful, you certainly want to avoid any and all hiccups in getting the deal done.
