Georgia Tech vs Georgia Week 13 Game Info

2022 NCAA College Football Game
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (5-6) vs. No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs (11-0)
Date: Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022
Time: 12 p.m. ET
Venue: Sanford Stadium — Athens, GA
Coverage: ESPN

Week 13 of the 2022 NCAA college football season includes an inter-conference showdown between the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs. Georgia Tech hopes to build off the momentum that stems from its massive 21-17 win against ranked North Carolina last week.

Things won't be easy for the Yellow Jackets, though, as they must overcome the unstoppable force known as Georgia. The Bulldogs maintained their flawless record with a low-scoring 16-6 win over Kentucky this past weekend, highlighted by the former's defense holding the opposition off the scoreboard until the fourth quarter.

Georgia Tech vs Georgia Odds & Spread

Moneyline: GT: (TBD) | UGA: (TBD)
Spread: GT: +35.5 (-110) | UGA: -35.5 (-110)
Total: 49.5 — Over: (-105) | Under: (-115)

Georgia enters this contest as a clear-cut favorite on the spread. This Week 13 clash also features a total of 49.5, which is slightly above average compared to this week's projected totals.

Georgia Tech vs Georgia Prediction & Pick

Though Georgia Tech had plenty of early success in this rivalry, that hasn't been the case for a long time. The Yellow Jackets have been on the losing side in 17 of their last 20 games against the Bulldogs, last beating Georgia exactly six years ago to the day of this matchup.

Even with Georgia Tech beating UNC last week, Georgia is on another level. The Bulldogs score the seventh-most points in the nation while allowing the second-fewest. Those numbers don't bode well for a Yellow Jackets team that's given up 30 PPG over their last four games while being held to seven or fewer points in four of their last five games against Georgia.

Furthermore, Georgia Tech's defense surrenders 188.7 rushing yards per game (No. 105). With Georgia having just run for 249 yards against Kentucky, I expect the Bulldogs to take advantage of that weakness en route to victory.

Final Score Prediction: Georgia: 48 | Georgia Tech: 10

Georgia Tech vs Georgia Best Bet

While 35.5 points make for an intimidating spread, Georgia can handle it. The Bulldogs have won their last four games against the Yellow Jackets by an average margin of 36.3 points, winning each of the last two meetings by exactly 45 points apiece. Considering how Georgia is showing no signs of slowing down while completely outmatching Georgia Tech, I'm taking the Bulldogs covering here.
