Ravens Week 1 Opponent for 2023 Season

The Baltimore Ravens' Week 1 matchup for the 2023 campaign is a home game against the Houston Texans. Last season, they opened with a road game on Sunday afternoon against the New York Jets. The Ravens emerged victorious by a score of 24-9 as quarterback Lamar Jackson tallied 3 passing touchdowns.

Ravens' 2023 Strength of Schedule

According to Sharp Football Analysis, the Ravens have the 11th-hardest schedule in the NFL for the 2023-24 season. This is based on the projected win totals of Baltimore's opponents for the upcoming campaign. The Ravens will face a tall task given their upcoming slate, as just three teams went over their win total last year with a top-11 schedule in terms of difficulty.

The Ravens' 2023-24 opponents went a combined 110-125-2 last season. They'll face a trio of teams in the Cincinnati Bengals, San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Chargers that won at least 10 games during the 2022-23 campaign.

FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds currently list the Ravens at 10.5 wins, with +104 odds on the over and -130 odds on the under. Baltimore has not won 11 games since the 2020 NFL season and has recorded fewer than 11 wins in nine of the last 11 campaigns overall.

It's important to note that this Ravens team will look a lot different than the one that was on the field last year, though. Jackson started just 12 games due to a knee injury, but he is fully healthy and ready to go after signing a massive new deal with Baltimore. The front office got him a few new weapons to play with, too, as Odell Beckham Jr. and rookie Zay Flowers join the wide receiver group. The Ravens found a way to win 10 games last season without stabilization at QB and with a lack of receiving weapons, so expecting them to boost that total by a single game doesn't seem unrealistic at all.

Bet – Ravens: Over 10.5 Wins (+104)

In the Super Bowl market, the Ravens currently check in with the eighth-best odds at +1800. They only trail the Kansas City Chiefs (+600), Philadelphia Eagles (+850), Buffalo Bills (+900), San Francisco 49ers (+950), Cincinnati Bengals (+1000), Dallas Cowboys (+1400) and New York Jets (+1400).
