FanDuel Fantasy Golf Picks for Valero Texas Open 2023 at TPC San Antonio

Updated:

The PGA Tour is preparing for its next event this week -- the Valero Texas Open -- at TPC San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas. With just one week before The Masters, a lot of big names are taking the week off, but others are using it as a practice round of sorts before Augusta.

Let's take a look at three golfers to consider when putting together your fantasy team this week.

Valero Texas Open 2023 Fantasy Picks

Corey Conners Fantasy

Corey Conners was playing some great golf earlier this season around the new year, grabbing four straight top-20 finishes from the beginning of December to the middle of January. He then went through a bit of a rough patch in February, only playing in two events and failing to crack the top 50 in either of them.

However, Conners has bounced back with a T21 and a T17 in two of his last three events. He also comes back to a course he's won on before, as he took home the trophy in this event back in 2019. While he hasn't matched that performance since, his game seems to be trending in the right direction at the right time here.

Matt Kuchar Fantasy

As it is with most courses on the PGA Tour, Matt Kuchar has a ton of experience here, which is exactly what you want to see when going up against a weaker and more inexperienced field. In 10 career starts at TPC San Antonio, Kuchar has never missed a cut and has seven top-25 finishes and three top-10 finishes, including a runner-up just last season. He's also coming off an impressive performance in last week's WGC match play, so expect him to compete and maybe even win this week.

Matt Wallace Fantasy

After missing five straight cuts at one point earlier this season, Matt Wallace has turned things around as of late. In fact, he's coming off a win at the Corales Puntacana Championship this past Sunday. While the competition there was obviously lower, he was T7 at the Valspar Championship the week before that. He's clearly playing some of his best golf right now and given his price tag, he should absolutely be in your consideration set.
