FanDuel Fantasy Golf Picks for the Presidents Cup 2022 at Quail Hollow Club

FanDuel Fantasy Golf Picks for the Presidents Cup 2022 at Quail Hollow Club

Updated:

While the new PGA Tour season began last week, many of the Tour's top players sat it out in preparation of the 2022 Presidents Cup, set to tee off this Thursday at the Quail Hollow Club.

The event puts two 12-man teams (one from the USA and one of the international players) against each other. They will compete in 30 total matches, 18 team matches, and 12 individual.

With this in mind, let's take a look at three guys to consider when putting together your fantasy team this week.

Presidents Cup 2022 Fantasy Picks

Justin Thomas Fantasy

Justin Thomas is coming off a stellar season. He had two top-10 finishes in majors, including a win at the PGA Championship. He also finished No. 5 on the season at the Tour Championship. While this will be his first tournament golf since then, he returns to the course where he won that PGA Championship, Quail Hollow. Not only is Thomas clearly comfortable on this course, but he's comfortable in this format, dominating at the last Presidents Cup, going 3-1-1, and getting 3.5 points for the USA in the process, the most of any player. I expect similar results again this time around.

Xander Schauffele Fantasy

Xander Schauffle had one of the hottest finishes last season. Across his last 11 events, he only finished outside the top 20 one time. In that span, he had six top-five finishes that included three wins. One of those wins was at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, where he was teamed up with Patrick Cantlay, his close friend and the same guy he is expected to play with at the Presidents Cup. The two are very close friends and clearly have comfortability with each other.

Billy Horschel Fantasy

He finished out last season strong, making four of his last five cuts. While this will be his first appearance at the Presidents Cup, he has played Quail Hollow before, making the cut in both of his appearances. Another important factor here is his probable partnership with Sam Burns. That pair finished runner-up at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
