After an exciting U.S. Open, followed by the Travelers Championship, the PGA Tour turns its attention back to the regular schedule and heads to Silvis, IL for the John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run.
The field isn't filled with elite names like the last two weeks, but there are plenty of talented players heading to Deere Run. Let's take a look at three players to consider for your fantasy team ahead of the 2022 John Deere Classic.
John Deere Classic 2022 Fantasy Picks
Jason Day Fantasy
Jason Day missed the cut last week, but did make five consecutive cuts against very competitive fields prior to that, including two top-15 finishes in that span. This week he goes up against a much weaker field, and on a course he's finished top-15 in two of his last three starts at. It feels like Day has been knocking on the door of a really great performance this year, and we could be on the verge of it this week.
Charles Howell III Fantasy
Charles Howell is no stranger to this event. He's played in it 13 times since the year 2000. In that time, he has three top-10 finishes, including two top-five finishes. He's made the cut in five of his last seven starts heading into this event. When you look at the lack of experience and elite talent in this field against Charles Howell, he has an advantage on that alone. He knows his way around this course and he knows his way around it very well. That's something few others in this field can say, and almost no others with as much talent as him.
John Deere Classic Sleepers 2022
Cameron Champ Fantasy
Cameron Champ has struggled immensely of late, missing the cut in his last four starts. But that is surely not indicative of his entire season. He had two top-10 finishes in his three starts prior to his current missed-cuts streak. Now, he comes to a course where he finished T-11 last season. Against this field, at a course he's had success, this could be the perfect week for him to get back on track.
