WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play 2023 Fantasy Picks

Scottie Scheffler Fantasy

It's really tough not to love Scheffler this week, even as the favorite and at the high price. He is coming off a big win at THE PLAYERS Championship and has now won twice in his last four starts. He has been on absolute fire all season, though. In fact, in his nine starts since the start of last November, Scheffler's worst finish was a T14. In that span, he has seven top-10 finishes and five top-five finishes. He has basically been a lock to be near the top of the leaderboard come Round 4 all season. This week should be no different. Scheffler has played at this course twice in his pro career, he was the runner-up at this event in 2021 and won this event last season. Few, if any, are topping his resume on this course or this season.

Max Homa Fantasy

Max Homa has also played here twice before, and his 18th and 35th-place finishes surely don't get you excited, but his play this season absolutely should. Homa has three top-10 finishes in his last five starts, including a runner-up and a win. That's not to say his T6 at THE PLAYERS last week should be discounted either, among one of the toughest fields in all of golf every year. He is coming into his own this year as one of golf's newest big names. Expect his name to be near the top come Saturday.

WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play Sleepers

Sahith Theegala Fantasy

Sahith Theegala doesn't have any pro experience on this course, but the 25-year-old pro is really making a name for himself this season, now all the way up to No. 29 in the World Golf Rankings after just turning pro in 2020. Theegala already has six top-10 finishes this season and while he barely made the weekend at TPC Sawgrass, he has two top-10ss and a top-20 in the four events prior to last week's. Bank on the youngster putting up another performance to hang his hat on amongst a tough field this week.
