FanDuel Fantasy Golf Picks for the Farmers Insurance Open 2023 at Torrey Pines

FanDuel Fantasy Golf Picks for the Farmers Insurance Open 2023 at Torrey Pines

Updated:

The PGA Tour is preparing for its next event, which is the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, CA, played on both the North and South course.

This field has a ton of big names teeing it up this week, so we should be prepared for some exciting golf.

Let's take a look at three golfers to consider when putting together your fantasy team this week.

Farmers Insurance Open 2023 Fantasy Picks

Jon Rahm Fantasy

Jon Rahm enters this week as the favorite at this event and for good reason, as he's coming off his second consecutive win last week at The American Express. He now sits at No. 1 in the FedExCup standings and doesn't seem to be slowing down. I rode with Rahm last week and he delivered a win, so I don't think the well has dried up yet.

This field is filled with tons of talented players, but none are playing at the level of Rahm right now. He is a monster at Torrey Pines as well. He's played here seven times as a professional, and outside of one 29th finish at the 2018 Farmers he has never finished worse than 7th here. He also has two wins on this course at the 2017 Farmers and the 2021 U.S. Open.

Tony Finau Fantasy

We went with Finau last week as well and we're back again for many of the same reasons, namely his current play and history at Torrey Pines. Finau placed T16 last week but was on a string of three straight top-10 finishes prior to that, which included a win at the Cadence Bank Houston Open.

At Torrey Pines, Finau has nine starts here as a pro. While he missed the cut at the U.S. Open and at last year's Farmers, prior to that he had never finished outside the top 25 here, was on a string of six consecutive top-20 finishes at the Farmers and was the runner-up here in 2021. Finau has proven time and time again that he can compete with the best on this track.

Justin Rose Fantasy

The crafty veteran has a boatload of experience at Torrey Pines. He's teed it up 14 times here, and while the first set of those starts was filled with missed cuts and mid-20s or 30s finishes, he has really flipped the script of late. In his last five starts at Torrey Pines, he has four top-10 finishes, which includes a Farmers win in 2019. Bank on his experience helping him make some noise this week.
