NBA DFS Picks Tonight 12/12/2022

Luka Doncic Fantasy

Target Luka Doncic, PG/SG, Dallas Mavericks ($12,000): Luka Doncic will be back in action tonight after a one-game absence. Last time out, he racked up 61.2 FanDuel fantasy points against one of the best defenses in the league in the Milwaukee Bucks. Now he draws a squad on the other end of the spectrum in the Oklahoma City Thunder. OKC is giving up the second-most points and fourth-most rebounds per game, along with playing at the fifth-fastest pace. That kind of up-tempo, high-scoring environment puts Doncic in prime position to nab another triple-double.

Bam Adebayo Fantasy

Target Bam Adebayo, PF/C, Miami Heat ($8,800): Though Bam Adebayo struggled offensively (12 points) in his previous game, he has a golden bounce-back opportunity on Monday. The Indiana Pacers are another team that pushes the pace to make up for their leaky defense. The Pacers are allowing the fourth-most PPG and RPG in the league this season, thanks in part to all the extra possessions they create with their up-tempo play. Adebayo should have no problems bullying his way to a big double-double against Indiana's underwhelming frontcourt.

Brandon Clarke Fantasy

Target Brandon Clarke, PF/C, Memphis Grizzlies ($5,300): Brandon Clarke has been a pleasant surprise as of late. He's hit at least 30 fantasy points in three of his last four contests, stepping up as a scorer (14.3 PPG) and on the boards (8.3 RPG) during this stretch. He's seen his minutes uptick to 24.3 a night over his last four outings, and that steady role should continue as long as he keeps outproducing the hobbled Steven Adams. Clarke has a great chance to stay hot on Monday against the Atlanta Hawks, who surrender the sixth-most rebounds per game.

Trae Young Fantasy

Avoid Trae Young, PG, Atlanta Hawks ($10,000): It's been tough sledding for Trae Young as of late, scoring less than 20 points in two of his last three outings and committing a whopping 18 turnovers during this stretch. The marksman has been going through a season-long rut as a shooter, posting the lowest 3-point (28.7%) and field goal percentage (40.8%) of his career so far. Now he draws a Memphis Grizzlies squad that owns the sixth-best defensive rating in the league and holds opponents to the seventh-worst effective field goal percentage. Given his struggles, it's hard to trust him at the price point.

Ben Simmons Fantasy

Avoid Ben Simmons, PG/PF, Brooklyn Nets ($7,500): This hasn't been an easy year for Ben Simmons in terms of health. After missing time with a back issue, Simmons then suffered a calf strain that's sidelined for all but one game in December. Though the point-forward is back in the lineup, he only played 20 minutes last time out, so Brooklyn will likely be cautious with him. Wait for him to return to form before relying on him for fantasy production.
