Week 15 of the 2022 NFL season includes an NFC South showdown between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans.

Neither team has looked great lately, both losing four of their last five outings. The Falcons enter this game after losing, 19-16, to the Pittsburgh Steelers back in Week 13, whereas the Saints came up short in a 17-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just one day later.

Which of these two NFC South foes will get the win coming off of their respective bye weeks?

Falcons vs Saints Odds & Spread

All NFL betting lines, odds and prop bets are from FanDuel Sportsbook.
Moneyline: ATL: (+168) | NO: (-200)
Spread: ATL: +4 (-110) | NO: -4 (-110)
Total: 42.5 —Over: (-115) | Under: (-105)

The Saints enter this contest as slight home favorites on the moneyline and spread on FanDuel Sportsbook's odds. This NFC South clash also features an over/under of 42.5, which is in the middle of the Week 15 totals.

Falcons vs Saints Prediction & Pick

The Falcons announced last week that rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder will make his debut against the Saints this week. The talented gunslinger impressed with 3,334 passing yards with 30 touchdowns to eight picks in his last year as a Cincinnati Bearcat, however, he draws a tough matchup in his first career NFL start.

The Saints hold opposing QBs to an impressive 62.7% completion rate (11th-best). Their pass defense is even better Caesars Superdome, giving up only 195.0 passing yards (No, 7) on 18.8 completions (T-No. 6). Furthermore, New Orleans is also tied for the 10th-most sacks (34.0), so the pressure on Ridder should be constant.

It's hard to trust a rookie QB who's yet to even take a snap in a regular-season contest. Even though the Saints aren't perfect, they're more than cable of getting the win due to Ridder's inexperience.

Final Score Prediction: Saints: 20 | Falcons: 13

Falcons vs Saints Best Bet

Regardless of who's been victorious lately in this rivalry, the games have been close. The winning margin of the last 10 Falcons-Saints matchups is just over a touchdown at 8.8 points. With how the two sides have been performing lately, I expect a similar outcome on Sunday.

Although I predict the Saints will win and should be able to cover the four-point spread, I'm looking to get a bit more value out of this bet. Instead, opt to take New Orleans winning this one by one to 13 points at +150 odds.

Bet: Saints Win Margin — 1 to 13 Points (+150)
