Eagles Get Exciting Dallas Goedert Injury Update Ahead of Week 15

Updated:

The Philadelphia Eagles have been without their starting tight end Dallas Goedert for the last four weeks, as he was placed on Injured Reserve during Week 11 after suffering a shoulder injury. Fortunately for the Eagles, it looks like Goedert is getting closer to a return.

Dallas Goedert Injury Update

Goedert is eligible to return from IR on Wednesday, which will start the clock on his 21-day practice window before he has to be added to the active roster. The hope and expectation is that he will play in Week 15 against the Chicago Bears.

Goedert was a big part of the Eagles' offense this season before going down, hauling in 43 of 53 targets for 544 yards and 3 touchdowns in nine games. The 27-year-old was averaging several career-highs as well, including yards per game (60.4) and catch rate (81.1%).

A softer defense like the Bears would be a great matchup for Goedert to get back in the swing of things. Philadelphia is currently a 9-point road favorite against Chicago according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
