Eagles Get Amazing Update on Dallas Goedert Injury Return Timeline

Updated:

The Philadelphia Eagles faced their first test of major adversity following Week 10 of the season. Not only did Philadelphia see their perfect record break apart with a loss to the Washington Commanders, but the team lost a key piece of the offense to the IR in tight end Dallas Goedert.

Goedert's IR placement comes at troubled time of the season. It's late enough to figure any hiccups in his rehab could result in him missing important playoff games. Fortunately, the latest report indicates otherwise.

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, Goedert "is expected to return during the regular season." Schefter's sources went on to explain "the "only question is whether it's with two, three or four games left."

Goedert's IR placement means he'll be on the shelf for at least four games. The earliest he can return is a Week 15 matchup against the Chicago Bears, which starts the final stretch of four games for the Eagles.

For now, the Eagles must continue their focus of winning ballgames in the meantime. Philadelphia lines up for a Week 11 clash with the Indianapolis Colts and enters that matchup as 6.5-point road favorites per NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
