Eagles Fans Will Love Mel Kiper's NFL Draft Grade

Philadelphia Eagles fans had a lot to be excited about throughout the 2022 NFL Draft. The front office moved up the first round, acquired a Pro Bowl wide receiver via trade and found a steal in the third round. All of the action eventually led to one of the best NFL Draft grades given out by Mel Kiper.

Philadelphia was one of four teams given a grade of B+ and only two other squads were handed grades better than that. Both the Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets checked in with an A. Kiper pointed out that general manager Howie Roseman "put together one of the best drafts of the year."

It all started when the Eagles traded away one of their three first-round picks to the New Orleans Saints in exchange for a package that included a 2023 first-rounder. Adding future capital is never a bad idea and gives Philadelphia ammo to possibly make another big move during next year's draft.

The Eagles then added to the defensive line by drafting elite run-stuffer Jordan Davis out of Georgia in the first round. That wasn't even their biggest move, though. Philadelphia made headlines by trading the No. 18 overall pick and a late 2022 third-rounder for 24-year-old WR A.J. Brown.

Brown provides quarterback Jalen Hurts with a dynamic weapon in the passing attack. Kiper also praised second-round pick Cam Jurgens as the perfect replacement for starting center Jason Kelce when he decides to retire and named third-round linebacker Nakobe Dean his "steal of the draft."

All things considered, Kiper really had nothing negative to say about what Philly was able to do. The Eagles currently have odds set at +3500 to win Super Bowl 57, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
